Well, whats the news? The 2010 Intellectual, Larrikin, Vivacious and Sweet Seductive, and the 2009 Fallen are all bottled and looking terrific with their new labelling and a whole new batch of quotes to collect. We won a few gongs at the recent Clare Wine Show, nice to know the wine is good as well as heaps of fun. Got a nice write up of the Empowering Pink in Selector magazine. Building new extensions to the Last Word Inn decking and veranda, and are about to celebrate our FIRST BIRTHDAY with a huge Greek Party at the Inn. If you would like to help us party, book in quick on 8842 1453. Live music, dancing, feasting, and general mayhem all for $28 pp. including a glass of bubbly! So Toga up and come along (only joking ...no toga required)

Been a bit quiet on here havent I? Got the new labels organised for this years releases. Here are a couple of photos, let us know what you think via FB or email.
We will have a stand at the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show in a few weeks, so if you're in Sydney look out for us and come and say HI.
Tried some of the wines the other day and the Larrikin 2010 is a cracker, all those sweet tooths out there who have been begging us for a sweet wont be disappointed with the Seductive either.
Its winter weather though and so look out for the Fallen when it comes out, its a huge wine that will no doubt warm the belly and the heart. : )

Well Vintage is upon us again! Seductive, Vivacious, Larrikin, Empowering, Fallen, Politically Incorrect, & Intellectual, are all in the bag for 2010. Phew! Looking forward to upcoming new releases of Fallen Malbec and Seductive Sweet Viognier....everywhere we go it seems the people want SWEET, so more than happy to let them have the last word of course!
Recently met Oz Clarke during an event in Clare, and the timing was hilarious as the very same day there was an interview with him in the Adelaide paper where he claimed Aussie wine had lost its 'Larrikin' spirit.
Great bloke that he is, he was happy to have a giggle and pose for a photo with myself and a bottle of Larrikin! Touche! LOL
Last Word Wines had a great day at Norwood Food & Wine Festival, thanks everyone who attended, tried our wines, and gave us some great feedback and many laughs.

Hi, Hope everyone had a great Xmas and New Year, and got a holiday in there somewhere?
The Last Word Inn is up and running and doing fabulous meals all day long. Our next big event there is Valentines Day, on the 13th Feb we will be holding a special dinner for all those wishing to be romanced. come and enjoy candelight and begin with a champagne cocktail, followed by meal full of Romance foods (oysters of course), death by chocolate for dessert and then enjoy a liqueur coffee and choc dipped strawberries, hand fed to you by the one you love : )
We would be happy to help you deliver an 'special surprises' you might have in store as well.
In wine news, Vivacious sparkling is now out and about, order yours online or look for it in our distributors, or come up the Cellar Door and try it first. Its deliciously smooth and just a little sweet but still with plenty of bite, and those perfect bubbles to get you fizzing.

The Tour Down Under goes past the Last Word Inn:

Hi everybody! Been a while, but just been extremely busy trying to get the Inn ready to Open. Which it now IS! Yesterday officially opened, The Last Word Inn, 12 Main North rd Clare 5453. Phone (08) 8842 1453 and book in now. We will be having a special New Years eve Dinner, 3 course set Menu for $45. Open 8am - 9pm, all over Xmas (except Christmas Day).
Will set up the Inns own page shortly.
In other exciting news, only a few more days until VIVACIOUS, our sparkling, is available, so start ordering it now, bound to be very popular over the holidays. Particularly with me!

G'day. Well what huge news I have this time! We have just acquired a fantastic Cellar Door and Restaurant complex on the main road into Clare. Opening early December (stay posted for exact date).
The Last Word Inn, will provide everything from coffee and cake, to dinner, and plenty of things to do and see. We will be family friendly and hoping to entertain the kids just enough to allow you to enjoy yourself! The cellar door in a separate building (on right in photo), will provide the full Last Word Wines experience.
Its very exciting for us to acquire this awesome complex, and we look forward to seeing you there soon.
In other news we have whittled the huge number of entries in the 'name the Semillon" competition down to the final Four:

Hi again everyone, Im back on board after a very busy couple of weeks at the Royal Show here in Adelaide. What a lot of fun we had down there meeting people and introducing them to a new way to taste wine based on how they feel. Many giggles had from both sides of the table.
Congratulations to Shilane, who was the winner of our Royal Show "win a case" promotion.
We also tried out our clean skin late-picked Semillon on the Show public, and the overwhelming popularity of it has led to us including it in our core range. So if you have any ideas for a great 'personality' name for something extremely sweet, that looks like honey, is pretty alcoholic, and a bit dangerous send me your suggestion to kirily@lastwordwines.com
I will think up a deserving reward for the winner.

Well its all happening! We are quickly expanding our distribution, and I will try to keep the 'where to get it' page updated as we go.
I am very interested in hearing any problems people have with purchasing off the internet, as it is much cheaper to buy this way. So if you dont like buying off the internet for whatever reason, or are having trouble with our shop, I would love to hear all about it, please email me kirily@lastwordwines.com
I have just added a Gallery, so for photos such as bottle shots and our posters so look in the "have the last word" page.
We will be at the Royal Adelaide Show in the Taste SA pavillion, and would love to meet all our customers and fans so come along and have a taste, and we will match you up with a wine to suit your mood! We will also have promo items available, such as hats, t-shirts, umbrellas etc and some give aways running throughout the show. Look forward to seeing you there.
Our current online promotion is that every 20th person to buy a case online gets a free case, so be quick as it could well be you!
